I started getting sick and tired of cleaning up the same things every. single. day. Things like markers, paper, wipe-off boards, puzzles, well-loved books - so I decided to corral them all into one main area where the kids can get to them easily. And also clean them up easily.I had this little bookcase:
in my basement. I put a coat or two of paint on it then filled it up.The bookcase houses puzzles, notebooks, letter boards,
books, LEGO magazines, workbooks,
and special friends.

The wall behind the bookcase looked very lackluster, so I painted a huge rectangle area of the wall the same color as the bookcase. I then trimmed it with ribbon and filled it with my boys' artwork.

I also trimmed the top of the bookcase with the same ribbon:

My boys can get to everything whenever they want. And it is sooooo easy to clean up!
If there is a new, exciting toy or magazine, I always put it on this bookcase so it doesn't get misplaced, broken, or lost.
Well, this is outside this morning:

A cup of tea and the new House Beautiful are calling my name!
Believe it or not, I actually have some other posts written! I'll be posting those this week.
